Curious events from my day to day life. |
Last week finished a commissioned Comic Strip for Dolce Vita, the second of a series. Going to ask permission to publish that series on the blog, so you can see what I’ve been up to!
Also, I’ll be working on a new comic book series independently, with my own characters and my own story line. I’m thinking on publishing it as web comic, but we’ll see!
This Week-End I was at Fórum Sintra drawing caricatures live and guess who showed up? Batman himself hehe! Couldn’t resist the shot! The Photo was taken on a Samsung Galaxy Note too… Amazing quality, innit?
I’m tired of waiting for the writer to come up with the script so I’m starting to write it myself. I’ll try to be fast on the trigger so I’ll actually start penciling it. I’m thinking on a noir version and the style will be between Mad Magazine and Archie Comics. I have this story on the back of my head for a while so I gave this couple of days time to mature it. It’s the 1st time I write a comic book, time for my script writing classes to pay off. I’ll write in english directly but I’ll try to publish both in Portugal and the US… Lets see what happens after it’s done!
Been a productive night archiving my recent artwork! Check it out at my other Tumblog “Comics Scene”

Time to Sharpen the pencils! Had a meeting with my friend Marco Diniz Santos today to start developing a brand new Comic Book. It’s an idea I was cooking up for a while now and it seems the exact moment to put it out there. I tossed my synopsis on the table and he actually liked it. He’s a writer and he’ll develop it further more with me into an interesting plot. I’m considering a 12 issues 1st arch and then we’ll see how it goes after it’s published.
Refueled! Nice Sleep, Nice Shower and Shave, Coffee and getting my Groove on to finish my Comic Strips! \o/Tweezle FTW!
“The news of my death has been greatly exaggerated”.
Doodes and Doodettes… I have a killer deadline, so I’ve been off the bloggosphere for a while… but I’m still pretty much alive and kicking! So Mahalo and back to my drawing board!
It’s going to be an awesome month! Got signed up for two different Comic Strip gigs for a Comics company based in Cali!
I’ll be following up Tweezer’s adventures on several pages this month and also another line of individual gags funnies. Scripts are very funny and creative so I’ll have a lot of fun working on them!
I’m also going to manage their Tumblog which will have some older strips and samples. It’s already set and will take off real soon, so if you want to follow Tweezer and family adventures, stay tuned! I’ll be posting them to Tweeter and Facebook also so they’ll be hard to miss!
A funny thing… I was so happy with Google Chrome until I installed Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion)… But now I gave Safari 5.1 a try and it’s way faster than Chrome, which I didn’t even thought was possible (laughs) and has a lot of new cool features that justify the change of main browser!
For now… You know the drill, workout and bed! Got an early rise tomorrow so catch you guys in a couple! ‘Njoy your evening Y’all!
Yay! Saturday is here! All work lined up, new comics coming up this week and finishing selecting projects to display on my Online Portfolio this week-end and I’m going to add a new blog to my roll, as I’ll be managing The Other Sun’s new Online Blog which will feature all site’s comic artists work!
I need a day to rest my mind from work, so after quickly raiding the local supermarkets for provisions, on which I’m actually low at the moment (laughs), I’ll step to downtown Lisbon and going to catch a Movie later on.
I already read the books, but I’ve been following Harry Potter’s movie series as well, so seems only fair I’ll watch ”Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Part 2”, the last one… So much for the element of surprise, I always think they could have done it better… But I’ll watch it without prejudice anyways!
Well… Yesterday, no Tumblr, no Facebook and as impossible as it may seem… No Twitter!
Been all day finishing inking by hand the final version of “The Halloween Mask” comic strip and all night coloring it on Adobe Photoshop for The Other Sun Comics!
Well fresh from my drawing board here it is!, so check it at Comics Scene, my other Tumblog! Penciled and Inked by hand and Digitally colored! Enjoy!
